Evaluation Task 5: How would I attract address my target audience with marketing
Guerrilla Marketing techniques would be an ideal strategy for my product.*
As an example urban cycle advertising campaign would reach out to young men in their daily work environment in an unexpected way.
Placing an advert for a movie onto a 'beer mat' reaches into the heart of our target audiences leisure time and maybe effective due to the surprise in context.
*Guerrilla marketing is a marketing strategy in which low-cost, unconventional means (including the use of graffiti, sticker bombing, flyer posting, etc.) are used in a generally localised fashion to draw attention to an idea, product, or service.
How does my opening sequence engage my target audience?
Movies such as 'Science of the Lambs' is an intense thriller with sophisticated plots and intellectual in depth characters. Similarly my opening sequence shares these characteristics. My target audience (men aged 18-29) are widely satisfied by the elements used in the listed thrillers. Thus due to these being embedded and heavily involved within the scene. It will certainly be appealing to my target audience as it will meet their expectations. This age are usually drawn in by the intense story-lines coincided with graphic action, which is commonly seen within the thriller genre itself. Slowly but intelligently unravelling the narrative and working it out it's meanings/links whilst viewing the films attracts our audiences to this specific genre.
In Silence of
the lambs quite frankly not your average thriller due to the hyperbolic extreme
psychological nature. However, this successful masterpiece was a huge success
in terms of engaging and interacting with their audience. An overwhelming mise
en scene aspects were used. A fourth wall was used in this movie. This connotes
an imaginary separation between the audience and the action in the presented
film. It quite literally feels as if the audience are face to face with the
characters (especially the two psychopaths).
Overall the target audience want to feel tightly connected within the characters life. Using camera shots such as point of view (POV) emphasises this proposal as it demonstrates another example of how the audience feel heavily involved in a subtle manner. Moreover, all technological components collectivity combine to appeal to the target audience by making it as entertaining as possible.

Evaluation Task 3: Distribution Formats
The following 2 formats are the most likely distribution format for my product as it it less suited to large screen presentations as we have not produced a product using the highest definitions and resolutions. Additionally, it would be difficult to persuade a cinema to show my movie to a smaller niche market.

DVD
- Due to a DVDs tangible presence (its physical dimensions) it provides the customer/consumer with a product with perceived value.
- The product is usually displayed on a shelf either in the store or at home, acting as a permanent advertisement.
- It is portable between devices.
Disadvantages:
- Production costs such as printing and manufacturing of labels and other materials are expenses.
- Stock holding is required therefore money is tied up.
- Distribution, the product has to physically be moved.
- This product can be shared/ borrowed between consumers therefore sales may be affected.
- It can be easily copied or pirated.

Advantages:
- Low costs of production and distribution.
- Instant procedure of downloading.
- Remote payment so the vender can trade worldwide.
- Works with latest technology (resonates with younger target market).
- Harder to share/copy.
Disadvantages:
- Less perceived value as product has no physical presence.
- No permanent advertisement on show.
- Quality maybe lower to optimize download speeds.
- Requires suitable internet connection.
Evaluation Task 3: Potential funding for my movie

Film London is the capital's film and media agency in which is sustains, promotes and develops London's significant international film-making and film cultural capital. This consists of all the screen industries based in London such as: film, television, video, commercials and new interactive media.
If we were to peruse a small scale short film continuing the rest of the movie, Film London would provide us with £4000. Additional services such as training and a mentor would be provided.
Alternatively, Film London 'Microwave' is Film London's feature film making programme. This special scheme offers the next generation of film makers training through production, also distribution support. Development support consists of film making in teams to produce intellectual: scripts, stories and skills. Additional mentioning from experienced industry directors, writers and producers. Development funding may receive potential to receive development funding of up to £10,000 per team. Production funding for Film London Microwave will be funding up to 9 departments of up three years with production budgets of £150,000. If successful in the public eye, my team will be provided with £100,000 funding directly from Film London in which the will further support in the additional finance. Distribution funding ensures that Film London support distribution methods by funding £25,000.
